Courses:

This year, I’m offering a limited number of private courses (beginner, advanced, or master’s level) wherein you and I will work one-on-one for 3 weeks (via weekly zoom calls and email exchanges). During our time together, you will send me batches of poems, and I will send you reading suggestions (poetry and essays) based on your interests and your work. Then, I’ll read and respond to several batches of your poems, and I’ll also help you learn how to be influenced by the poets you love most (by breaking down the technical aspects of their poems). I’ll relay what I’ve learned from years of editing a poetry press, reading thousands of poetry manuscripts for national contests, editing a literary magazine, directing MFA Masters theses, and winning six book or chapbook contests for my own books.

Total cost for the three week course: $500

Start-dates for your three-week session can be scheduled with flexibility. Our Zoom meetings will take place weekly, and we can be flexible with days and times.
